Denim on Cheetah Print

BDG denim studded vest from urban outfitters (similar here), skull shirt from h&m, cheetah print skirt from h&m (similar here), spiked chain necklace from forever 21 (similar here), backpack from forever 21 (similar here), gold watch from mom, black lita boots from Jeffrey Campbell

I'm starting to realize how important it is to wear a third piece. For this outfit, it would be the studded denim vest. From what I learned from work, that third piece really takes an outfit far. Whether it is a large, staple necklace, a sweater, a scarf, a vest, etc, it can definitely make an outfit look way better. I honestly thought this outfit looked awesome prior to adding the vest, but once I threw denim on top, I decided to keep it.  It really adds a finishing touch to the soft floral purple of the skull shirt and the gold spiked necklace. What do you guys like to add as a finishing touch to your outfits?

I hope ya'll enjoyed the look! Hype me on lookbook and remember to follow me on instagrampinterest, and here! I would deeply appreciate it =)

Have a good week!

Flowers In Your Hair

I always tell everyone I love the cold more than the heat. Reason? I like snuggling up in the covers. However, it causes me to be really lazy and since the weather has been really chilly, I tend to curl up in bed longer than I should (especially since I have morning classes). But the moment the weather warmed up, I got my lazy self to put on this dress and I rolled on outside in front of this brick wall!

Black Tights | Jeffrey Campbell Lita | BDG Satchel Bag via Urban Outfitters

Isn't this dress chic? I fell in love once my eyes saw it back in November. Since then, I've been wearing it every chance I got. I've worn it to holiday parties, on dates with Stefan, at the salsa club, and more! Not only can I wear in the winter, but I can wear it all year around. And of course, my pair of Litas… I will always adore those babies! For 5" heels, they are really really comfortable. No longer am I 'towering' at 5'2" =) If only all heels were as comfortable as these.

Also, enjoy 10% off at Urban Outfitters in stores and online until February 14th. Code: LOVEUO. They are also doing a wonderful deal on all their BDG jeans… each one at the price of $39. Here's a couple of their jeans I like:

BDG Jean - White Floral Print | BDG Jean - Indigo Acid | BDG Jean- Grey Dip-Dye Roses

In store, I saw BDG jeans in black, green, red, and silver displayed in an eye-catching pattern. I couldn't find it online, but if you're interested, go ahead and scout the store. It's really pretty! They also had solid colored ones like mustard yellow, bright red, mint green, coral, and neon blue. You can find these colors both in stores and online.

Happy shopping!

Look #1

My friend Maggie was visiting from New York so I took her to this little hipster area near where I live. The restaurant we went to served pancakes with bacon in them. Pretty cool, huh? Too bad they ran out of bacon.

They also had this cool awesome mural on the window that I had to get a picture of. I love how the colors pop up and the aztec lookin' bird, which you can only see half of.

Urban Outfitters satchel (similar here), Cotton On bow belt (similar here), Forever 21 faux leather jacket (similar here),
Gap colored jeans, Uniqlo plaid shirt, Urban Outfitters bowler hat, BCBG wedges via DSW.

I've had these clothes for the longest time. That's why I only have similar here links or no links at all (couldn't find anything that was similar to them... or these items can be found easily elsewhere). Anyways…

The jeans are a bit baggy right at the knee and the upper thighs. Also they are a bit long near the ankles. If anything, I'm going to have to hem them eventually and even do a bit of sewing to make the jeans not look as baggy.

I thought that if I tucked in the shirt, it wouldn't blouse out. It did just that though, and I couldn't minimize the extra material. I could have used a safety pin to scrunch up the material at the back and also tucked in the shirt, but I didn't come to my mind at the time. I don't even know if that would have worked. Anyways, the shirt can definitely use some tailoring… actually, my whole wardrobe could use some tailoring.

I need to become my own tailor.

Outfit picture number one for the month of January? Checked!
