(Pullover sweater from Mango, Patterned collar button down shirt from Forever 21, Necklace from J.Crew, Shorts from Zara, Bowler hat from Forever 21, Oxford shoes from Urban Outfitters, Purse thrifted)
Loving this sweater weather. Cold enough to wear a long sleeve, but hot enough to still wear shorts.
All summer long I've worn these zara shorts. They've became not only a summer staple, but also a fall one. I probably wore them a bit too much, but once you start, you can't stop. They match with everything and can be styled in many different ways. I loved these black ones so much that I ended up buying the white ones too haha.
For this look, I decided to go for a preppy feel, but with a twist to it. I desired something subtle and not too flashy. The usual preppy style calls for a simple, solid color collar underneath a sweater. I played around with a cut-out, patterned collar design instead, wanting to add some flair to the outfit. I was just going to make the look straight up monochrome, but I'm glad I tossed in that pop of color. I love how the purse and the statement necklace stand out against the gray, white, and black pieces of clothing. I feel like both items complete the outfit, giving it the final touch it needs.
What do you guys add to your outfits in order to pull them together?
